Again they said, “Call upon your Lord so that He may make clear to us which cow, for all cows look the same to us. Then, Allah willing, we will be guided ˹to the right one˺.” (Holy Quran 2 : 70)

Tafsir Ibn Kathir states the following about their behavior:

“This means that even after all the questions and answers about the cow’s description, the Jews were still reluctant to slaughter the cow. This part of the Quran criticized the Jews for their behavior, because their only goal was to be stubborn, and this is why they nearly did not slaughter the cow.”

The Islamic Perspective

The Three Major Criteria for Establishing Islamic System of Government

Theo-democracy or Theocracy

Some call it spiritual democracy, a term used by IK in 2011

Basically a system under which people rule according to a religious ideology, given by God

It is a mixture of traditional western democracy (secular democracy) and a theocratic rule

For example India is no longer practically a secular country; it is a theo democracy with BJP / RSS ideology in control trying to enforce Hinduism

This is the major intention of JI and probably other religious parties of getting 2/3 majority in the upper and lower Parliaments one day, so that only laws in accordance with the Holy Quran and Ahadith can be passed; hence establishment of Theocracy

Or a mix of such people with similar Islamic ideology.

Whether that will ever happen or allowed to occur  by the Establishment and people is very debatable / questionable

This was maybe the original good plan / intention of at least a section of the establishment (e.g. Gen Hamid Gul RA) and hence the creation of PTI

(Remember the previous PTI – JI alliance in KPK from 2013 – 2018)

But the rest is history as we know ….

How to Bring Change in a Society

Why not directly call for Khilafah instead of presidential system?

Khilafah: An Alternate Solution to Democracy

The Intention to Reform

We seriously doubt the intention of the establishment and most of the politicians to reform and establish an Islamic system of government.

The state has been given several chances, especially during martial laws/dictatorships to establish and implement laws in accordance with the basic injunctions laid down in the Holy Quran and Ahadith

They (majority) are just playing the Islam card; including the likes of Haqeeqat TV and social media activists, etc

Change in the System or Change in the Leaders?

Flaws that Need reform in Both Systems

The Flaws of Democracy-An Islamic Perspective

There are flaws in both parliamentary and presidential system and basically they have to be fixed

Fix the mafias and the powerful property tycoons

Fix the unequal distribution of power in the center and provinces

Good points from the presidential system can be adopted and bad points from parliamentary system can be dropped. For example :

Gog and Magog & the Deep State

Gog & Magog and the Deep State

Sovereignty to Allah or to the United States?

You just bowed down before the IMF. Whither sovereignty?

Why Call for Presidential System Now and by Who?

It is being widely speculated that the same people who brought in Imran Khan, wish to establish the presidential system

There are many reasons being given, one of which is to undo the 18th amendment, that gave more power and autonomy to the provinces

“We didn’t get the right system” card

This is despite well knowing his complete failure :

Imran Khan’s Last Card After Surrendering Pakistan to the IMF

And the recent horrific Transparency International report stamping the obvious:

https://www.dawn.com/news/1671401/pakistan-slides-16-spots-on-corruption-perceptions-index-now-ranks-140-out-of-180-countries-report

Just look at the precarious condition we are in now:

What if Nawaz Sharif is elected as president, will the establishment et. al. accept him?

Our Past Presidential Setups

https://www.dawn.com/news/1670670/no-more-presidents

Authoritarianism the Main Objective?

Remember Dr. Israr Ahmad, as shown above in a clip, always stressed on smaller provinces and devolution of power, in a presidential setup.

Much more can be written but there are certain limitations …..

Crux of World’s Problems are the elite class

Even Afghanistan tells us our reality:

The Corruption of the Modern Day Gog and Magog

And Allah Almighty knows best!
